VoterSpeak Oops....
Here's a list recent corrections at VoterSpeak...
  • The Letter Wizard now attempts to adjust the text for letters to Governors.
Previously, generated text would refer to "our Congressional official" or some such Congress-specific reference which made no sense in a letter to the Governor. If a Governor's address is chosen, the Letter Wizard now puts up a warning note and tries (emphasis on tries) to make the adjustments. We'll see how well that works...

  • The Letter Wizard's new spell checking system found a typo in one of the letter templates. Thanks, M, for your assitance on that :)

  • Alaska and California have been returned, safe and sound.
The problem with the US Congressional database (in which Alaska and California, among other states, were....missing) has been corrected. When reading in data from 300 files, one should not exlude single or triple digit numbers in filenames. 'Nuff said.

  • State-level bookmarked pages problem fixes.
There was a problem with direct links into a state-specific site (alaska.voterspeak.org/state/chat.php). If a user linked directly there without first "initializing" at the top level (alaska.voterspeak.org/) page, certain browsers (*cough*cough*IE*cough*) became confused. While we can't fix the browsers, we did manage a code re-write for all Phase 1 and Phase II states that fixes the problem.

  • VSI Map link problem with Wyoming, Louisiana, Virginia fixed There was a problem with map-based links for these three states (two failed, Wyoming got moved to West Virginia which threatened a new Civil War.) All has been resolved, save for a small dispute over a West Virginia razorback hog but that won't turn into anything....
